Secret Service Leader In Trouble! GOP Prepares Punishment

James Comer (R-Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, plans to subpoena U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle and demand her testimony on the attempted killing of Donald Trump.

In a statement, a panel representative stated that “the Chairman will issue a subpoena for Director Cheatle to attend, even though the Secret Service indicated Director Cheatle was scheduled to arrive for the Committee’s hearing on July 22nd to head off any attempt by DHS to go back on her participation.” “Director Cheatle has to explain to the American people and Congress the catastrophic disaster that transpired during her tenure.”

Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York who chairs the House Republican Conference, stated to The Post that the scheduled Oversight briefing would have provided “the first chance” to raise “extremely serious and challenging issues.”

Stefanik underlined, “The American people deserve 100% transparency—and they need it soon.” “I believe we will make a choice once we have the opportunity to ask those questions.”

Additionally, the House Homeland Security Committee said that Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of homeland security, Christopher Wray, the director of the FBI, and Cheatle will be present at a second hearing on July 23.

The Homeland Security chairman, Mark Green (R-Tenn.), declared in a statement, “The American people deserve answers on what happened Saturday in Pennsylvania.” Sec. Mayorkas and Director Cheatle oversee the department and agency tasked with safeguarding the nation’s borders and defending its presidential hopefuls and chief executives, while Director Wray is in charge of the agency that is critically responsible for looking into this attempted assassination.

The would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, should never have had “a straight line of sight like that to the former president,” according to Mayorkas.

A 20-year-old shooter’s bullet almost missed Trump’s ear on Saturday when he was speaking from an outdoor platform in Pennsylvania. Once on top of a building beyond the rally’s security cordon, crooks opened fire into the crowd several times.
