The rise in antisemitism following Hamas’ barbaric Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel has revealed just how far the world’s moral compass has been skewed by leftist hypocrisy and cowardice. For over a year now, Jewish communities around the globe have been under siege, facing threats, intimidation, and outright violence. Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union, put it bluntly: the “level of presumed security” American Jews once felt has been shattered.
Meanwhile, Aviva Siegel, a freed hostage of Hamas, has become the face of unimaginable courage as she continues to plead for the return of her husband, Keith, who remains in captivity over 450 days later. Speaking directly to President-elect Donald Trump on Fox & Friends, she called on him to deliver the remaining hostages from their living nightmare. And if anyone has the tenacity and resolve to bring them home, it’s Trump. Unlike the flailing Biden administration, Trump has the strength and clarity to act decisively.
The aftermath of the Hamas massacre has also exposed the ugly underbelly of the far-left’s anti-Israel agenda. Pro-Hamas protests erupted worldwide, with many disgracefully taking place on college campuses. Yes, the same campuses that pride themselves on being “inclusive” became cesspools of hate, where radicals waved the flags of terrorists and cheered for the murder of innocents. It’s a level of lunacy only the modern left could champion.
While the Biden administration largely stood silent, Israel delivered justice. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this week that Abd al-Hadi Sabah, the Hamas commander behind the Kibbutz Nir Oz massacre, was killed in a targeted drone strike. Unlike the U.N., which continues to enable terrorism under the guise of humanitarianism, Israel takes swift and effective action to protect its people. As Israel’s ambassador to the U.N., Danny Danon, rightly pointed out, organizations like UNRWA have not only failed to teach peace—they’ve actively turned schools into rocket depots.
The double standard is glaring. The left is more outraged by someone using the wrong pronouns than by the atrocities committed by Hamas. President-elect Trump’s return couldn’t come at a better time. It’s clear that America needs leadership willing to call out evil, stand with Israel, and restore moral clarity in a world that’s lost its way.
